I have been getting my hair coloured by Michelle and cut by Vince at the Kingsway location for years. Michelle is by far the absolute best colourist that I have ever had (and I’ve had many). She is an artist, needs zero direction and knows exactly what to do to make my hair look naturally beautiful. My hair is difficult to colour because it tends to have red undertones which I hate. Somehow Michelle has the magic touch to make it look like a natural blonde/brunette look. My hair feels healthy and fresh because she is diligent in not over processing my hair. To top it off, Michelle is so friendly and kind. Basically she’s a perfect package. Vince is also an incredible hairdresser for both cuts and blow dries. He is great at making sure he optimizes my hair colour. The two of them are an awesome duo. I would be remiss if I also didn’t mention Carol as well who blowdries my hair sometimes to perfection! I love love love the Kingsway team.

This is by far the BEST hair salon I have ever been to. They offer a great array of services to pamper yourself. They use and sell amazing brands like KMS, Oribe, and Goldwell. I love that immediately upon entering, I am greeted with a smile and offered a beverage of my choice. The staff overall is incredibly friendly, professional, and ensures your experience is amazing. They truly care for their clients. I leave feeling beautiful and confident. Angela is a super talented hair stylist. She listens to your wants and has amazing technique; I highly recommend her!

I love going to Taz Hair on Bloor/Kingsway location. I discovered the salon by coincidence last year and I only go there now. From day 1 they gave me a consultation that fit my needs and they delivered perfectly. Corrected elegantly the bad cut I had before. They care and show they know you. Also plus point for the app to book appointments! Great price/value ratio! I also bring my kids there. Totally recommend!

I have been coming to Taz since they opened 12 years ago. I have been extremely happy with all the services I have received over the years at Taz. From their lovely esthetician Ewa, cuts by Carol, balayage from Morgan as well as colouring from Michell and Kevin - their staff always goes above and beyond to make sure their client is happy. The energy is great in the salon and the salon’s manger Erin is beyond amazing. I am grateful this place is so close to my home, prior to this I felt that I was moving salons every 2-3 years when staff changes happened. It’s rare to find a place that has the depth of talent and it’s the reason I have been coming here all these years.

I'm not impressed with this hair salon and I'm surprised it has so many positive reviews. I got my hair done here on September 27, 2022. I booked online and selected full highlights and women's haircut. For some reason they charge new clients up to $50 more for the same service, which I've never seen at any other hair salon before and doesn't make much sense to me at all. The colourist was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing, and my hair looked nice after the colour was washed out and my hair was blow-dried. The stylist who cut my hair was also friendly enough but he didn't seem to cut that much of my hair even though it was pretty damaged and we agreed that he should cut off 1.5-2 inches of hair. He gave me some waves/curls with a straightener that unfortunately fell flat within 20 minutes of leaving the salon, but I wasn't going anywhere that I needed my hair nicely styled for. I followed the colourist's directions and didnt wash or wet my hair until 3 days after the appointment. However, after washing my hair a few times, I can say it doesn't look much different and actually feels worse. My coworkers who I saw today for the first time since my haircut didn't notice anything different and were shocked to hear I paid $400 for it. Overall I would not recommend this hair salon and will not be going back. I've also attached pictures to this review. The first picture was taken on September 22, the second picture was taken right after my hair was done (Septemeber 27), the third picture was taken today (October 8), the fourth picture is what I showed the colourist as a reference point for what I wanted. The first and third pictures were taken in the same location with the same lighting. I didnt style my hair the same way in both but the colour is my main concern. After just a handful of washes it looks almost exactly the same as before and doesn't resemble the reference picture.
